So you know how you can spend YEARS growing out your hair, fighting with your hairstylist every fucking visit to make sure she doesn't take off more than an inch so that you actually gain some length in between visits, until you have this lovely loooong curly hair that extends more than halfway down your back ... and then SOMEONE DESTROYS IT ALL IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES?!?

Yes, I could have told her to stop, but she had already applied razor to hair by the time I realized she was ignoring my "just an inch off the bottom, and trim the bangs" order.
I now have "curls, don't you love curls? I took so much weight off your hair! it's so curly! don't you just love curls?*" layers. Fucking layers. Do you know what I'm going to look like tomorrow??
*She actually said at the end "You know, I didn't really take much length off, do you want me to cut it shorter?" I almost killed her right then.
